The first tune is, "I Want To Be Happy." A "radio listening test" is presented. Parts "A" and "C." The "listening test" makes for fascinating radio. First, three household sounds are presented near the microphone (pouring water into a glass, pouring rice into a tin can and turning a hand-held egg-beater). Then, from the same distance to the microphone, the Automatic Duo Disc washer is turned on, and sounds no louder than the other sounds. During a part of the program not heard on this recording, the washer is turned on without the announcer mentioning it, as the program continues. Listeners who can guess (in minutes and seconds) the length of time the washer was running in the background will win a prize. The program was prepared by Rogers and Smith, 20 North Wacker Drive, Chicago. The Automatic Washer Company is located in Newton, Iowa. Matrix #6282-2/6284-2.
