110218. Biscay Patrol. August 9, 1944. BBC. Stanley Maxted interviews two RAF pilots aboard the ship HMS Onslow. They had just been retrieved from a rubber dinghy after having been shot down by the Germans. They had just attacked a freighter and while aboard the ship, watched as the freighter was sunk by the Royal Navy. The recording was made between the 9th and 13th of August 1944. At the end of the recording, the pilot who had been rescued from the ocean says that he's, "feeling just wizard." Stanley Maxted. 4:17. Audio condition: Excellent. Complete.
