Generalissimo Chiang Kai-Shek speaks (in Chinese) with an English translation following. He says, "We have broken the seige of China." General Albert Wedemeyer speaks. Patrick Hurley, the United States ambassador to China says that, "China will fight on." Chiang re-names the road, "The Stillwill Road." An announcer in New York City reveals that the time of the broadcast was deliberately concealed from the Japanese so that they could not jam it.
