84175. Crossroads. August 21, 1947. An audition recording, San Francisco origination. Jerry Belcher interviews people "on the street," "on the corner of Main and Whimsey." The first person interviewed is a coffee taster; followed by a cable-car conductor, a man who spent twenty-three years in jail for setting off a bombing in 1916 (during which, he taught himself watchmaking).
