110722. Good Old Days. Syndicated, Television Advertising Associates Inc., Baltimore. Sponsored by: Fastabs (made by "National Health Aids Of Baltimore Inc."). The matrix has the title, "Do You Remember?" Matrix #E2-KM-4110. "Processed and Pressed by Thomas J. Valentino, New York City." "Fat is Deadly!" Charles Kasher gives a virtuoso performance delivering a program-length talk about, "Fastabs." He describes them as a "food accessory" and never once mentions the poduct's name for the first 9:45 of the program. In the remaining 3 1/2 minutes, Mr. Kasher is so convincing, that by the time his talk ends and a local announcer tells you where to send your $2.98 (with a money-back guarantee), you'll be dying to get your trial size bottle of "Fastabs." This is great radio salesmanship and Mr. Kasher is a superb radio salesman. Post-war. Despite the name of the advertising agency, this presentation is pure radio. WCOV (Birmingham, Alabama) is written on the transcription label in pencil. Charles D. Kasher. 13:18. Audio condition: Excellent. Complete as above.
