88900. The Conoco Listener's Hour. April 1931. Sponsored by: Continental Oil. An all-request music format, originating from New York City. The date is subject to correction, as the opening announcement mentions that, "Just now, there seems to be an epidemic of Spring Fever." The hosts are "Peggy" and "Pat" (no further identification). The first tune is, "My Toreador." Guest Ginger Rogers sings seemingly all the tunes from the Gershwin show, "Girl Crazy," in which she was appearing (the show opened October 13, 1930 and closed June 6, 1931). This hints at a broadcast date March or April, 1931. Ginger Rogers, R. C. Wentworth (announcer), The Rondoliers. 28:32. Audio condition: Excellent. Incomplete.
