97474. The Dead Sea Scrolls. 1957. The American Friends Of Hebrew University syndication, Rockhill E.T.. An interview with Dr. Emanuel Bendour, the director of the Department of Antquities of the State of Israel (and Hebrew University). He declares the scrolls to be, "The greatest discovery of our century." He mentions that, "the scrolls are available to all scholars and publication will take place soon." Neither statement was true. The interviewer is William Cohen, Public Relations director of The American Friends Of Hebrew University. Mr. Cohen has no great voice; the program is obviously put together from poorly edited tape. The date is approximate. Emanuel Bendour, William Cohen. 14:03. Audio condition: Excellent. Complete.
