72367. The Explosion Of The Hindenburg. May 7, 1937. Blue Network. Sustaining. A commercial release. Herbert Morrison recalls (in 1974) how he made his famous recording. See cat. #1947 for the actual broadcast of May 7, 1937. This was the first time recordings were acknowledged to have been used on NBC. One of the survivors is interviewed (however, he speaks only German)! Miss Tyler, a nurse, is interviewed. Over thirty-nine minutes of the recording are from the original Herbert Morrison discs, only fourteen minutes of which were broadcast by the Blue net on the day following the crash.
